Browse the questions below. Answers are general in nature; individual project requirements should always be confirmed.

Referrals & Enquiries

How can an Occupational Therapist contact HC Renovations?

Occupational Therapists can email Estimate@hcrenovations.com.au to discuss a home modification enquiry. Include a brief description of the proposed work and the relevant project details available at the time.

What information should I include in an initial enquiry?

Where appropriate and with the participant’s consent, an initial enquiry may include the type of property, the area requiring modification, a general description of the participant’s access requirements, relevant recommendations and any known project considerations. Please avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information.

Can a participant or Support Coordinator also make an enquiry?

Participants, families and Support Coordinators may contact HC Renovations to discuss a proposed project. Relevant information can be shared with the participant’s consent and in accordance with applicable privacy requirements.

Can I enquire before all documents are available?

You may contact HC Renovations to discuss the project at an early stage. The information needed to assess or progress the proposed work will depend on the individual project and should be confirmed directly.

Reports & Documentation

What documents may be relevant to a home modification enquiry?

Depending on the project, relevant information may include an OT assessment or recommendation, a scope of work, property details, photographs, measurements or other project-specific documentation. The required information should be confirmed for the individual enquiry.

Does HC Renovations need an OT report?

Whether an OT report is required or useful depends on the proposed work and the participant’s circumstances. Please discuss the project documentation requirements directly with HC Renovations and the relevant stakeholders.

What is a scope of work and why is it useful?

A scope of work describes the proposed tasks and project details. It may help clarify the work being considered, its inclusions and items requiring confirmation. A scope should be specific to the property and project.

Can I provide photographs or measurements of the property?

Photographs or measurements may help explain the proposed modification. Whether they are sufficient for a particular project must be confirmed. They should not be treated as a substitute for a required site inspection or professional assessment.

Can I request clarification about a proposed scope?

Yes. Questions about the proposed tasks, inclusions or items requiring confirmation can be sent to HC Renovations by email. Project-specific details should be discussed before relying on the scope.

Project & Site Considerations

What types of home modifications can be discussed?

Enquiries may relate to accessibility improvements within a home, including bathroom or access-related modifications. The feasibility and requirements of each proposed project need to be reviewed individually.

Is a site inspection always required?

The need for a site inspection depends on the nature of the proposed work, property conditions and information available. This should be confirmed with HC Renovations for the specific project.

Can existing property conditions affect the scope?

Yes. Existing structures, dimensions, services, access limitations and other site conditions may affect the proposed work. Any relevant conditions should be assessed and confirmed before proceeding.

Can a proposed modification change after further assessment?

A proposed scope may need to be reviewed if additional information becomes available or site conditions differ from what was initially understood. Any changes should be discussed and confirmed with the relevant stakeholders.

NDIS Funding & Approvals

Does a home modification enquiry mean NDIS funding is approved?

No. An enquiry, scope of work or project discussion does not confirm NDIS funding approval. Funding decisions are made through the relevant NDIS processes and depend on the participant’s circumstances.

Can HC Renovations confirm whether a participant is eligible?

NDIS eligibility and funding decisions should be confirmed through the NDIS and the participant’s relevant representatives. HC Renovations can be contacted to discuss the proposed construction work and project information.

Are building approvals separate from NDIS funding?

Yes. NDIS funding processes and building-related approvals or compliance requirements are separate matters. Any requirements that apply to the project should be confirmed with the relevant authority or qualified professional.

Can an OT recommendation guarantee that a modification will be funded?

No. An OT recommendation does not guarantee funding approval. Funding decisions depend on the relevant NDIS requirements and the participant’s individual circumstances.

Communication & Coordination

How can project questions be communicated?

Project questions and relevant information can be sent by email to Estimate@hcrenovations.com.au . Include a clear subject line and the details needed to identify the enquiry.

Can the participant be included in project communication?

The participant should be included in communication where appropriate and with their consent. Relevant privacy and information-sharing requirements should be respected.

How are project timelines confirmed?

Timing depends on the project, the information available, site conditions and other relevant requirements. Any proposed timeline should be confirmed directly for the individual project.

Who should I contact if I have a project-specific question?

Please email HC Renovations with the relevant project details and your question. The response can then address the information available for that particular enquiry.
